Alleged Galaxy K (S5) Zoom cameraphone picture appears, leather-like back and all

From the pits of leakster purgatory which scribbled the eventual Galaxy S5 Zoom cameraphone specs on a sheet of paper, now comes the first claimed picture of the device. Samsung's second shot at a compact camera with phone functions, however, is referred to as the Galaxy K Zoom, rather than continue the naming tradition that commenced with the S4 Zoom.

As a reminder, the K (S5) Zoom is expected to land with a 1.6 GHz quad-core CPU, or a 1.3 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Hexa CPU with ARM Mali-T624 graphics. The other rumored specs are a 4.8" display with HD resolution, and 2 GB of RAM, as well as the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The picture on the right somewhat confirms the pieces of information that we got before about the design and the camera, too. The shooter is said to be 20 MP - a decent upgrade over the 16 MP unit on the S4 Zoom - with 10x optical zoom and Xenon flash, just as its predecessor. The sources claimed before that the K (S5) Zoom will be thinner than the S4 Zoom, and the lens will be "much better hidden in the casing." We can't really figure out the dimensions from this picture alone, but what can be confirmed is a faux leather back of sorts, which would jibe with Samsung's design paradigm of late. Also, the Samsung lens' characteristics, engraved in the metal camera ring, indicate a 10x optical zoom indeed.

This looks really promising actually. Looks really slim but how fast will the camera be? How slim will the phone be? Battery life? I have very low expectations for this

No nokia is. It has no money now it's being sold and transformed to a laundry company, imagine the successful cloth line. Lumia 76589 lumia 6251 lumia 90012 and it even has a 152 MP camera protruding from the back.

No protuding lens now? Excellent! At least they did the impossible. Nokia 15201020210 has protuding lens...this K Zoom would then be the best cameraphone!

Haha after looking at the leaked picture its hard to believe Samsung is not a COPYCAT? Not surprising really, for those who dunno, even Samsung's engineers divulge that they frequently dissect the mobile phones of their rivals to see how they are built so they could replicate or to fine-tune the design further. And now seeing the leaked Zoom S5, whose cue does it take from this time? - The Nokia Lumia 1020. Shame on you Samsung!

Omg~ My EYEs, my Eyes ~!! I just got exposed to a Lumia 1020 copycat phone ~! First the S4 zoom was fat as hell, and the Samsung engineers took apart the Lumia 1020 and thought,: ' okay lets copy the design, add some Kikkoman sauce and Kimchi in it'. Then we call it the S5 Zoom. There you have it! Show them to the fanboys and they will scream ~~~
