5 rumored features and updates heading to Android 6.1
As the Android 6.0 Marshmallow install base grows veeeeeery slowly with each passing month, the time has come for some rumors about the next milestone Android release to rear their heads. And that would be Android 6.1, which is supposed to be a maintenance and consolidation release that still carries the 'Marshmallow' tag. If it's really like this, then Android 6.1 won't be a game changer of an update that introduces any significant new features, but it's still shaping up as an important release that brings meaningful improvements.

To get some rave expectations going, we've rounded up five rumoured features and improvements that may eventually come with Android 6.1. Maybe they'll put the useful features back into android, like separating ringtone and notification volumes. But I have my doubts the Android devs can figure this out. I mean, it was way too hard for them to figure out how to code the light and dark themes that were in the Marshmallow dev preview.
