5-inch Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) being tested?
Back in 2014, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime was released. The phone carried a 5-inch screen with a 540 x 960 resolution. Under the hood was a quad-core CPU with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage inside. The camera combo from back to front was 8MP/5MP. Now, it appears that a sequel has been green lit.

Based on India's Zauba import-export site, Samsung has been testing a 5-inch handset with the SM-G532F model number. The OG Galaxy Grand Prime was SM-G531. That would seem to be a pretty good indication that the phone being tested is a new Galaxy Grand Prime model.

The SM-G532 appeared on Zauba twice, with listings dated July 12th and August 4th. A total of 7 units were shipped to India on those two occasions. The most recent shipment puts the value of the device at $103 USD. That won't be the retail price of the phone, but it does tell us that the Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) will be a low to mid-range device.

Any phone with SM-G in its name is badass. Also, for real, this was an awesome phone on the TracFone and related networks.

This was one of the worst phones by Samsung at its price range. They only sold them because of excessive marketing and the front facing camera.

all samsung's mid-ranger and low-end are trash... just get something from lenovo, huawei, blu, or chinese brand (meizu, xiaomi, Le) and it will have far better specs at the same price with samsung.. (HTC, sony, oppo mid-rangers also overpriced, lol)

Rephrase your sentence to say that only chinese phones are good ones in the low end segment

Oh Phone Arena.... I'm getting sick and tired of your page redirect advertisements which you can't back out of, trying to get to this article I was redirected twice in a row. I've started screen shoting the BS just so I have record of the frustrations. Pretty soon I'm going to stop coming to this site altogether. At least just do with The Verge does and have a full screen ad at the top of the page that we have to scroll down past instead of stranding us off on some other page which only way to get out is by closing the browser window...

The only way to handle is to have ad blocking on by default. If you want to comment you switch ad blocking off and reload the article page you want to comment on. PhoneArena very aggressive with ads. They really want to squeeze every cent out of us, not just pay the bills as they claim in their ad blocking notice.

Started using ad blocker because of this very issue with this site. A pop up ad is one thing but when you redirected over and over that's another. Shame on you PA for this crap.

Grand series should ultimately be retired: the J series should be Samsung's only budget lineup. But if it is introduced, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP camera under $200 would be sweet against Chinese competitors.
