Cover glass makers, on their part, have been reluctant to purchase the expensive technology. But even after Apple’s purchase, the machines remain stored and unused at associated plants as yield rates for production of the curved glass screens haven’t reached a satisfactory level. If true, it seems like there are still many unresolved issues for the next-generation iPhone, iterating once again a later release date, possibly in September.
