Watch Samsung's entire CES keynote and marvel at the YOUM flexible displays
Samsung posted the official video of its hour long keynote presentation yesterday at CES, where it announced the Exynos 5 Octa mobile procesor with eight CPU cores, and flaunted frugal LCD display tech, as well as we got to see for the first time actual prototype devices with its YOUM brand of flexible display technology.

The bendy screens are made with a plastic, instead of glass, substrate, which makes them durable, and allows Samsung to fold them in half, taper them to the sides of your phone, or roll them up in a tube.

They also showed a flexible screen prototype, running Windows Phone 8, so that we don't think these are only for Android devices, and there were many more surprises, including the former President Bill Clinton taking up the stage to talk tech and charity cooperation between his Clinton Foundation and Samsung's giving initiatives. Enjoy - the Exynos 5 Octa talk starts at 12:34, and the YOUM display prototypes demo at 39:47.

Sammy keeps on innovating from time to time and it is really impressive for the company to be one of the first to present their mobile processor with eight CPU cores which is the exynos5 and the youm display. A phone and a tablet@46:49! That's something to look forward to in the future!

I watched the entire event live then went back and saw the entire video. It's amazing the effort it takes year after of doing these shows and presentations. It's very clear that Samsung are the leaders and innovators in so many categories with products we use in our day to day lives. The fact that they ushered out these displays to the public to touch and hold and didn't hide them behind glass displays pretty much show you that they are confident in their technology. We will see these displays in 2013 products yes the Galaxy S4 and later on in the Galaxy Note 3 in October 2013. Matter of fact i predict the Galaxy S4 will arrive with the Exynos 5 5440 Octa clocked at 1.8ghz with the Mali T604 Gpu 5 inch 1080p flexible screen. The Galaxy Note 3 will have the 6.3 inch 1080p flexible screen, with the Exynos 5 5450 octa clocked at 2.0ghz, with the Mali T658 Gpu, 3gb of ram 16meg camera and 3.0 front facing camera, 4200mAh battery, android 5.0 Key lime pie, In my mind it's pretty clear that the Galaxy Note 3 will be the best Samsung product of 2013. Since I own the current Galaxy Note 2 i will be waiting for the Galaxy Note 3. I just have a funny feeling that I won't be able to pass up the Galaxy S4 after having the Galaxy S3 in 2012 from June 24th to November 14th 2012. I always purchase 2 devices every year anyway.
