Samsung reveals a Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition, coming soon to Verizon

Today, Samsung quietly revealed the existence of a Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition, which is now listed as “coming soon” on the company’s US website. Seemingly costing $662.53 - no contract required - the handset is made for Verizon, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to work on any other carrier. As some of you may know, in the past Samsung also offered a Galaxy Note 3 Developer Edition, as well as a Galaxy S5 Developer Edition - both for Verizon.

Basically, the Note 4 Developer Edition is the same Galaxy Note 4 that you can buy right now, with the difference that it comes with an unlockable bootloader (this, of course, being what makes it developer-friendly). The Developer Edition also has the advantage of being slightly cheaper than the Note 4 that Verizon is currently selling (for $699.99 off-contract).
