New Motorola Moto X+1 to have 25 backplate options (leather and wood included)
Back in February, Motorola hinted at a successor to its Moto X smartphone, which should be introduced in “late summer.” Well, it looks like this successor is called Moto X+1.

We first heard about this name last week, and now @evleaks shared new info about it. Specifically, it appears that the Moto X+1 will come with a large variety of backplate options: no less than 25 of them. Some will be made out of wood (Teak, Bamboo, Rosewood, Ebony), and some will put leather on the back of the handset (in Black, Red, Grey, or Blue). Plastic back plates will include warm colors (Red, Orange, Lemon Lime, Violet, Crimson, Raspberry, Cabernet), neutral hues (Slate, Purple, Smoke, Black, Chalk), and, of course, also cool colors (Navy, Turquoise, Olive, Royal Blue and Dark Teal).

There is still no word on what features the upcoming Moto X+1 will bring, and neither if the smartphone is going to be expensive, like most flagship handsets, or more on the affordable side (like the original Moto X - pictured above).

Earlier this year, Google agreed to sell Motorola to Lenovo. The deal hasn’t been closed yet, but that should happen soon. Lenovo will probably help Motorola launch its new smartphones in more markets around the world (as you may know, the Moto X didn’t see a global rollout).

Is anyone expecting great things from this alleged Moto X+1?
