Additionally, the App Store now boasts over 11,000 apps that specifically cater to the unique tablet. Overall, Apple's ecosystem is already well established as the iPad is enabled to run the more than 225,000 apps that are currently available to the iPhone. It's not yet to be seen whether or not we've hit the pinnacle when it comes to monthly iPad sales – especially when Apple intends on launching it in a few more markets around the globe in July.
