JBL's Christmas in July: get 50% off on the powerful JBL Link Bluetooth speakers
One of the top dogs in the audio industry — JBL — has decided to surprise us with an awesome July sale. Called "Christmas in July", the promo will only last a couple of days and has discounts of up to 70% off.

You can grab a bunch of cool-sounding Bluetooth speakers or wireless headphones at a pretty good price. For example, the JBL Link 300 and the more powerful Link 500 have both received a 50% price slash, bringing their price tags down to $125 and $200, respectively. These are Google Assistant-compatible speakers with subwoofers and tweeters built in, capable of providing rocking jams anywhere you go. Here's what we think of the Link series:

In the headphones department, there isn't a discount that's as massive, but there are a few offers worth looking at. The basic on-ear JBL E35 have been discounted from $80 to $30 and the on-ear Everest 310 GA is also worth looking at, now asking for $140 instead of $200.

Aside from mobile solutions, there are also a bunch of home audio speakers that have gotten a worty discount.

Don't. These things could be $10, and they'd still be a waste of money. I bought my Link 20 in February 2018. About six months later, it started popping and clicking. Sent it in for a warranty exchange. Same problem with the new speaker. Used it as a dumb speaker (didn't connect it to WiFi), which fixed the problem. And then earlier this week the charging port stopped working. Worst tech purchase I've ever made.

Sounds like it is going to be another paperweight to match my Charge3, which stopped taking a charge after 4 weeks. I didn't know Charge3 meant that 3 weeks would mean the number of weeks of life expectancy for the unit.

Bought a pair of these at the beginning of this month for half off. They sound good and at the half off price point this is a bargain.
