With the new iPad mini it's time for Smart Covers with no hinge, yours for $39 in jolly colors
Those colorful iPad minis we were hearing about a lot when the rumors were in full swing in the last few weeks, turned out to be new polyurethane Smart Covers for the tablet, in a flashy variety of colors.
First and foremost the Smart Cover for the iPad mini does away with the metal hinge, featuring a new design that Apple's Jony Ive said is wrapping the whole tablet in a single piece of protection.
Then come the colors - no less than six of those will be available for your polyurethane wrapping pleasure, including an eye-popping (Product) Red version. The Smart Covers cost $39, and the proceeds from the Product Red one go for fighting AIDS in Africa.
