Verizon's Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 to be updated with Android Ice Cream Sandwich
Verizon seems to be on a roll, as earlier this week the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2 started to be sent out.

Now you can add the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 to the list of tablets that will be running ICS. Even though the update hasn't started to be rolled out just yet, the support documents have already been posted to the Verizon site, which is a good indicator it is just around the corner.

Included in the massive 283MB update (version PL10) is a new home screen layout, video calling that can work over 4G LTE or Wi-Fi, improved settings layout, data usage monitor, as well as a simple calculator for portrait mode and scientific calculator for landscape mode. Other improvements include advanced email search, updated quick panel with power saving, driving mode and sync, undo and redo options when composing an email, read receipt and delivery receipt of email, quick response to messages, meeting invitation in Exchange, and a redesigned gallery with photo editor.

Naturally, the standard Ice Cream Sandwich features will also come with the update, such as face unlocking, pinch-to-zoom in the home screen and main menu screen, Google + integration, updated music app, and a desktop view option for the included web browser.

If you happen to own a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, please let us know when you receive the update and what you think of it.
