Verizon debuts early holiday promos, offers BOGO deals on hottest smartphones
Following in the footsteps of other major carriers and retailers which launched early Black Friday deals, Verizon announced a couple of deal of its own. These early holiday promos feature BOGO (buy one get one for free) deals on various iPhone, Samsung and Pixel devices.

The first mentioned by Verizon should make Apple fans very happy. Anyone buying the latest iPhone will receive an iPhone XR for free, or $750 off an iPhone X, iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.

The second deal is meant to please Google fans, as Verizon now offers those who purchase the Pixel 3 a second one for free, or the option to take $800 off a Pixel 3 XL.

Last but not least, Verizon customers who buy the Samsung Galaxy S9 will get a second one for free, or $800 off a Galaxy S9+ or Galaxy Note 9.

All deals announced today require a new line of service. It's also worth mentioning that bill credits will be applied over 24 months for all three offers Verizon launched today.

My question for Verizon, TMO, Sprint, AT&T is why haven't they adopt the pay/gig model to Xfinity Mobile along with the unlimited plans on all lines as a mix & match option? I have questioned the tactics of VZ as being a loyal customer for more than 13 years, as we have a 3 phone unlimited plan that costs me $160/mo. This doesn't factor in the iPhone SE for my son that costs me an additional $10/mo. My son uses less than 100mb a month. I am paying $50/mo + $10/mo for an iPhone SE. Yes guys an iPhone SE. On the other hand, Xfinity Mobile would only charge me $31.24/mo for an XR 64GB. They wouldn't charge me data if I use less a 100mb. So Essentially I would only be paying for the device just to have service, while using it as an iPod. I am waiting on Xfinity Mobile BF deals to pop up as I will move my Unlocked XS Max and payoff my sons device as I will only pay for $45/mo for my line and $31.24 for a much better device for my son. I understand with Xfinity Mobile you must have internet access to be considered for mobile service. If you do not have internet services with Comcast, they will only charge you $10/mo for non internet subscribers. For $55/mo that is still cheaper than anything out there for an unlimited data mobile plan. Plus Xfinity Mobile = Verizon Service!

Verizons old plan system where it cost $20 to add a line was much better than what they offer now price wise.

With Verizon yo do pay buy the gig. Just differentlt. If the bat VZW charges $30 foe 2 gigs. If you go over its $15 per gig, which is exactly what you are paying anyways. I also sis prefer Xfinify for that reason, but the cell service was terrible riding kn the back of Verizon low end network. Xfinity is only providing data. They use VZW foe service when gou cant make a call over wifi. The otywr carriers do the same. They just make you pay upfront foe certain amount. They want the money. Even if you only use 1GB in a .onth, you still gonna pay for 2GB. Yes that sucks, but for me 8 usually go over my 2GB anyways.
