Verizon brings back promotional data plans: 10GB for $80 and 15GB for $100
Big Red indicated that it would begin ramping up its promotional efforts as spring yields to summer. To ring in Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Verizon is offering promotional pricing on its 10GB and 15GB More Everything shared data plans.

$80 per-month will net 10GB of data, not including the per-line access charges for smartphones or tablets. $100 per-month offers up 15GB of data. Verizon is also offering 20GB of data for $140.

These deals are essentially the same as what Verizon offered late last year. While summer promotions are also common, it cannot be overlooked that these offers emerged so quickly after the carrier’s subscriber losses, and so-so account additions thanks to tablets.

Verizon’s CFO, Fran Shammo acknowledged that it was not likely the carrier would be able to keep overly-price-sensitive customers in its portfolio. Even at these promotional levels, Verizon’s prices do not really compete with T-Mobile’s or Sprint’s plans, albeit the feature sets are not the same. The promotional pricing is a bit more competitive against AT&T’s data share plans, however.

The promotional pricing is available for a limited time, but there is no defined end date.

We got this last year and are "grandfathered" into it, which is great. 17 gigs for $85 a month, can't beat it.

Whats your total bill including line fee and device payments if you have edge?

1 phone on edge. 4 lines. Contract ended, paying month to month. In total with taxes fees etc, $300. Pretty expensive but if we were to go to ATT, it would be pretty much the same thing. It comes out to like $280 for 4 smartphone lines unlim text talk and like 10 gigs of DATA. T Mobile is not an option for our area we live in unfortunately =(

Great deal. I'm sure all the TMO lover's will be here in a min talking about unlimited blah blah.. When you still can't get more than 10 miles from a major city without dipping into 2G territory.

That's not a bad deal for data but their per line access fee is pretty outrageous. It should be more like $20 per line. Maybe I will think about it.

I used 60 gb on verizon last month, the same on T Mo, I have full true unlimited on both. They are my internet, at home when tethered by USB and PDA Net to my computer I use a program called Connectify to share the computers internet with everything through the computer's wifi card, I bought one of the nice Intel ones with the long external antenna. I have internet speeds DSL wouldn't dream of, and most cable could barely match. I get 90 megs down in 25 up with Verizon where I live. The data plans available to new subscribers now are such a joke.

Right now people think your being cheap on tethering your mobile data plan. Comcast Ex Blast are getting 115mb down/12mb up for roughly $60 a month and possibly cheaper. Using 60 meg/ month isn't a lot. If I strictly used LTE monthly I could easily rack up 80-100 meg, but as a consumer its best to stick with Comcast or Uverse for home internet and LTE for on the go.

Gees Verizon, $100/ 15 GB, I guess those pipeline are lined with gold from the apple watch. I told them I was leaving for T-Mobile. They gave me, or should say, lowered the price of the 6 GB to $40/month for my two lines.
