Unlocked Apple iPhone 5s goes on sale in the US
Apple is now selling an unlocked version of its iPhone 5s on the Apple Store in the United States with prices starting from $649.99 for the basic 16GB model. The unlocked iPhone 5s comes with the freedom of no contract and no carrier ties, and can be used globally on GSM carriers.
The unlocked iPhone 5s is offered in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models and the prices go up by $100 for every variant so the most expensive 64 gig model costs $849.
If you choose to buy the unlocked model, you’d need to put in your own nano SIM card. In the United States, AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM carriers and you can use it on both.
The color options for this new unlocked iPhone 5s model are the same as all others - space grey, gold and silver.
