Trio of new Toshiba Excite tablets introduced, all running Android 4.2
Toshiba has launched three new 10 inch Android tablets on Tuesday morning with the trio running on Android 4.2. The Toshiba Excite Pure is an entry-level model with a NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor under the hood. 16GB of native storage is aboard which can be expanded through the use of the microSD slot on the slate. This model will go on sale later this month, priced at $300.

The Toshiba Excite Pro and the Toshiba Excite Write are both more upscale as the pair both feature the NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor and each slab offers 32GB in native memory. The panel on both tablets is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and has resolution of 2560 x 1600. If that sounds familiar, it is because the Google Nexus 10 features the same exact resolution on its 10.1 inch screen, which works out to a 300ppi pixel density.

Thanks to a Wacom digitizer, there is pen support on the Toshiba Excite Write for 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity. This model will be priced at $600 compared to the $500 for the Toshiba Excite Pro. Both of these tablets will be released next month.
