The unannounced HTC WF5w seems to be the thinnest HTC smartphone yet
While HTC isn't known for making the thinnest smartphones on the market, the company has several handsets that are under 8 mm thin. The latest is the One E9+, which, at 156.5 x 76.5 x 7.54 mm, is the Taiwanese company's slimmest smartphone to date. But it looks like this title won't be held for long by the One E9+.

Meet the HTC WF5w, an unannounced handset that showed up today in China, where it's been approved by the country's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center. Weighing 152 grams and measuring 158.7 x 79.7 x 7.49 mm, the WF5w is a hair thinner than the One E9+.

The new smartphone runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, sports a 5.5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels, and seems to have dual front-facing speakers. Other features include an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 13 MP cameras on the front and back, 16 GB of storage space, and microSD card support (up to 128 GB).

The presence of TD-LTE connectivity suggests that the HTC WF5w is made for China Mobile. However, the handset might have an international version, too, and we assume that it's going to be included in the Desire series (WF5w is definitely not its commercial name). Take a look at the new HTC smartphone below, and let us know if you like what you're seeing.
