The Onion: Uncle Ben's joining the smartphone race with own 5.3-inch handset

Uncle Ben's, of all familiar brand names, intends to go head to head with Apple by introducing a smartphone of its own, The Onion reports. 

The fictional Basmati phone, as it is called, is a 4G device with a 5.3-inch display sporting a pixel density of 285 ppi. The dual-core processor inside it runs at 1.5GHz and the camera on its back is of 8 megapixels. But that is just the start. Young folks can easily stay connected with friends and family thanks to the company's Instant Rice Messenger. The Basmati phone runs on Uncle Ben's proprietary, and entirely gluten-free, Long-Grain Operating System. To keep users entertained at all times, dozens of stir-fry recipes have been pre-loaded.
