The Dubstein pours music and listens to drinks... or is it the other way around?

“Music + drinking = ?” is an expression that could result in many things, and one of them happens to be an innovative hybrid between a boombox and a pitcher. Meet Dubstein, the first in world Bluetooth stereo speaker with drink integration, or the first jug with Bluetooth speaker capabilities, depending on how you look at it.

Anyway, the Dubstein takes its mission to deliver drinks and music extra seriously. It boasts a BPA-free (bisphenol A) and dishwasher-safe beverage insert compatible with drinks hot and cold. It receives phone calls and streams music from smartphones, tablets, mp3 players, and computers alike. It also has thumb control pads in addition to a smartphone app. Is this the best quasi-smart pitcher out there, or what?

The tuneful jug is ready for production, but the funds aren't quite there yet, which means the pitcher is now on Kickstarter and waiting for thirsty backers. $75,000 is a lot of money, which is to be spent on manufacturing and certification procedures. If everything goes smooth, the Dubstein will be delivered on November 2014, with an anticipated retail price of $149.95. Not too bad, considering the average price tags of decent Bluetooth speakers that don't even pour drinks.
