Sony Xperia Z5 Premium: all the official images and videos
With the first 4K display phone, the Xperia Z5 Premium, Sony has kept its signature Xperia flagship design concept overall, with "frosted" glass and metal frame, but has introduced some new twists on the Z5 Premium, such as swapping the circular OmniBalance power/lock key with an elliptical one, and for a good reason.

The flagship is outfitted with a fingerprint scanner there, which is arguably the most ergonomic place to put it, not all the way down beneath the display, or even on the rear. While Sony's phones are not the first to come with such a side sensor (Honor 7i was the first), they are the first brand-name phone maker that will obviously utilize those en masse, as both the Z5 and Z5 Compact are graced with one, too.

The Xperia Z5 Premium is a tad on the large side for a 5.5-incher at 154.4 x 76.0 x 7.8 mm, and quite hefty at 180g., yet you are getting a premium waterproof chassis, and a large 3430 mAh battery that can keep the 4K phone going for Sony's typical two days of endurance, so no complaints. Check out all the official images and videos below.

Redundant? Huawei Honor 7i may be the first to put a fingerprint sensor on the side, but Xperia Z5 series were the first smartphones to incorporate fingerprint sensors on the power button. (Except for Saygus V-squared, which is now nowhere to be seen)

The mere beauty of this phone is breathtaking. And the fact that it's not over the top- instead simple, made it even more stunning.

It's probably the first phone that I like in gold.

Is it me or the volume rocker is quite lower than usual, that could take some getting used to atleast on the compact

I guess it will be hard for PhoneArena to downgrade Sony with a phone like this...

I like the flush camera which also appears to be high quality, big battery, side fingerprint reader, stereo speakers I presume, and waterproofing. The bottom bezel could be smaller and frame is sleek but lacking some character. I think it's the best effort from Sony yet, so that's pretty good. I hope it stand up to a drop test.

No surprises in the specs department, but all three look awesome, outstanding and stunning! Great to see how Sony develops and grows with the Omnibalance design and how it delivers!

If, and it sounds like they have at least actually tried this year, Sony has in real life improved the camera experience while offering the same excellent battery life, the Xperia lineup from today will take on any and every phone this year and part if next year. Waterproof. Expandable memory. Front facing speakers. Fastest auto focus. PlayStation 4 game streaming. Gorgeous design. Seriously Sony offers a lot more than their competition but is underappreciated.

If you look closely, the Camera UI on the video is different from the current UI
