Sony’s
Xperia Z2 Tablet is now available to buy in the UK, which appears to be one of the first markets to get the new tablet.
Only the Wi-Fi version of the Xperia Z2 Tablet is in stock at the moment. Sony UK is asking $658 (£399) for the 16GB model, and $740 (£449) for the 32GB one. The Xperia Z2 Tablet 16GB with LTE can be pre-ordered for $823 (£499).
Like the
Xperia Z2 smartphone (which should be released pretty soon as well), the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is waterproof, runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. Other features include a 10.1-inch 1080p display, stereo speakers with 3D surround sound, 2.2MP front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera, 3GB of RAM, and a 6,000 mAh battery. The new tablet is only 6.4mm-thin.
Sony will launch the Xperia Z2 Tablet in the US, too, but we don’t know exactly when that’s going to happen.
