Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact pre-orders open in the US

Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact pre-orders open in the US
Sony may have already opened pre-orders for the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact overseas, but fans in the United States had to wait a bit more than a week to be able to place their orders.

The price one must pay for Sony's newest flagships smartphone, the Xperia XZ2 is exactly $799.99, whereas the Xperia XZ2 Compact costs just $649.99. It looks like B&H is the first US retailer that is taking pre-orders for Sony's new smartphones, but others should follow soon.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that Xperia XZ2 pre-orders will come with any freebies in tow. If you didn't know, Sony Xperia XZ2 comes with a free PlayStation 4 or PlayStation VR in the UK.

As far as availability goes, B&H has yet to confirm when Sony's smartphones are supposed to hit store shelves, but we know for sure they will arrive in Europe on April 5, so expect the US versions to drop around the same time.

I honestly do not mind having big bezels... I own the XZ... And it truly doesn't bother me, however if they were going to do a redesign, they should have gone "all in" and make it something outstanding.... Right now the bezel is something like the Samsung Note 4 (2014)... And the thickness is unnecessarily big.... The lack of headphone jack is a deal breaker for me, and if I need to upgrade soon I might go with the XZ1 instead...

The XZ2 costs more than the GS9? Nice one Sony.

I agree it is high, but not higher than the GS9 at $808 being the lowest price before any shipping. I do wish that they XZ2 Compact was under $600. That's kind of a deal breaker. At least until a price drop.

Knowing that other regions are getting not just free bonuses but major free bonuses, no extras no buy.

So far I am considering this or a Samsung Note 9. I like the Note 8 I have but the looks are boring and I miss the front facing stereo speakers I had on my Xperia Z5 Premium.
