Sony Xperia C5 Ultra (with its near bezel-less display) now available in the US via Amazon
Back in August, when Sony announced and launched the Xperia C5 Ultra in Asia, it asked around $420 for it. Now, the smartphone is about $100 cheaper, and, although it hasn't been officially released in the US, you can buy one via Amazon.

Available on Amazon in black or white, the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra features US LTE (compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile), but does not come with US warranty. If you're buying the handset, which costs $329.99 unlocked, make sure it's the E5506 model, not the E5553, since the latter doesn't have US LTE. The two source links at the end of this article will let you order the E5506.

Sporting a 6-inch, near bezel-less 1080p display, the Xperia C5 Ultra is not water-resistant - which is quite unusual for a Sony smartphone these days. The handset is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, further featuring 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage space, a 2930 mAh battery, and two 13 MP cameras with flash: one on the rear, and one on the front.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra runs Android Lollipop, and will be updated to Marshmallow at some point. Are you interested in buying it?

Got my gf this phone from eBay and she likes it a lot. I have to say, it's way too big for me. I usually have my phone in my pocket when I'm out and about... and this phone won't fit in it. Too bad it only has 16 gb of storage, but nothing a SD card can't fix. However, I hope they put 32 gb of storage instead because i'm not a fan of putting apps on an SD cards. Once the storage is slowly filling up, the phone gets a bit laggy. The phone was a lot faster when it first arrived, and now it's slowing down a bit in term of launching apps and camera especially more noticeable.

The Xperia Z3 is pretty much the same price or a little bit cheaper on Amazon. Wouldn't that be a better buy?

Well if you like huge screens and take heaps of selfies, what's wrong with buying something that fits you better?

The price doesn't match the CPU. Otherwise, great looking phone.

Well bezels make the device easy to use and protects the display from screen cracks from drops. So i would like to see 65% to 70% for M and Z series. Well it is cheap for the price.even it was expensive i would have spend even 25% for a sony product or iPhone.

Hey sis. This phone is just bulky and ugly for girls. If you like a selfie phone, I'd recommend you to get a Samsung Galaxy S6 or LG G4 which equips with the best selfie camera on the market.

Don't blame him, Samsung is worth 40% of his country, without the company he has no job.

How about I be a good big brother by buying her the Xperia Z5 Premium that has a 4K display, better battery life, and camera that are better than the S6 and G4 which deserve to be thrown in the trash because they are no comparison.

So funny or strange for sony they can make bezeless display for their mid ranger and for their flagship they throw a chunk of bezzel to xperia z5 and its compact version

Maybe you don't know about between design and hardware. Like battery, it must be smaller while you making a thinner phone.

Lg g4 has same battery and is almost the same size but packing a bigger screen so is moto x play even with its dual front speaker it has better screen to body ratio what sony is doing here is bringing the innovative technology like this awesome feture of bezeless display to midranger but people who paying premium prize for flagship is getting pretty much same design and display as xperia z3

The LG G4 is also fat and curved (applies to Moto X) with a nonsensical rear button because they couldn't fit it anywhere. And with that all said and done, they're lower in specs to what Sony could fit in a similar footprint. Not saying they're both not good phones, but you take some and you lose some. People who are infatuated with bezels, always miss the important details.

I'm sure if Sony make the Z5 series little bit thicker like Moto X Play or even just put 1 speaker on the back like G4 they can reduce the bezels like what they have done with Xperia ZL about 2 years ago. And before you start comparing the Z series with other phones i think you should check the Z series teardown and please tell me if there any wasted spaces.

LG G4 is the fattest phone of 2015 9.4mm. This shouldn't even be a comparison.

I hope the z5+ series have smaller bezels than this

Then it must be waterproof-less, seriously?

Xperia C5 Ultra is not a water-resistant phone, so it has less bezels. But bezels on the new Z5s are also small.

It's not as if the bezels doesn't have anything beneath them. Haters always see Sony bezels no matter what.

It was funny during the launch of GS6, those fanatics were embarrassed that the GS6 had larger bezel ratios than the Z3/Z3+ that they quickly moved the goal posts to compare them with the GS6 Edge and other metrics like the curved body and the 'perceived' thickness due to stereo speakers. LOL
