Sony Ericsson's PlayStation Phone may get announced in December

French tech media have received an invitation from Sony Ericsson (in French, of course) inviting them to a press event on December 9th at 8PM at which time Sony Ericsson will present "the most anticipated presentation of the last ten years". Considering that the bottom of the invitation features symbols from a PlayStation controller along with a phone icon, it would seem that the odds are that the announcement has to do with the introduction of the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone.

And while there remains a thin possibility that the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone could launch with Android 2.3 aboard, the Google Nexus S is expected to have the honor of being first to market with the OS which would mean that Sony Ericssons unit should rollout with Android 2.2 aboard.

For hard core gamers, the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone is like a dream come true and an announcement on December 9th leaves a bit more than 2 weeks to leave enough hints and clues promoting the idea that this is what you want under the tree this Xmas.
