Should Apple bundle wireless earphones in the iPhone 7 box?

Should Apple bundle wireless earphones in the iPhone 7 box?
Ever since we first heard that Apple is planning an industry disruption by omitting the 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7, we couldn't help but wonder how will music be listened to from now on. We say "disruption," as there are already phones like the Moto Z that ship without the audio jack, but they won't sell near as much as the next iPhone, if history is any indication.

Granted, Apple will most certainly include new EarPods with a Lightning connector at the end, instead of the 3.5mm jack, but we don't see how you'd be able to, say, charge your phone with a Lightning cable, and listen to music from it at the same time. That sounds a bit restrictive, and the only reasonable solution we could think of are Bluetooth wireless earphones that have now fallen in price immensely compared to just a year or so ago.

This is why we wanted to ask you if you think that Apple should include wireless earphones of its own making in the iPhone 7 box, thus smoothing the transition to a phone without a 3.5mm audio jack for many. What do you think?

Considering the past iPhones, there will be some headphones. I think they should be working with the phone that's included with them as well as being as standard as possible.

IMO they should include the Lightning EarPods and a Lightning to 3.5mm adoptor But I wouldnt be surprised if its only the Lightning EarPods I reckon the wireless earphones will be their new premium option (right now its their "Apple In-Ear Headphones")

yes, but that doesn't matter. Apple will not listen to the consumers.

Why should they? They have another cabled standard with the lightning connector and the wireless earphones would need their own charger. It just seems like too much.

Yes, why? People knew when you had an iPod because of its unique white coloured earphones at the time, Aiding the iPod's sales as more people had knowledge about it. People wanted to be special, something that other people didn't have, and wanted to show it off. Apple needs to recreate this effect again. Imagine being the general public and seeing some guy with EarPods in his ears with NO wires, you start seeing more of these people. To catch the trend, you buy the iPhone 7 with the headphones bundled, whether it's good or not. Keep in mind I'm talking about the general public here NOT people with some tech sense.

They should bundle everything with the iphone to make it less of a rip-off, but we all know that's not gonna happen, apple shows no mercy in separating fools from their money...they'll probably be selling a lightning to 3.5 mm jack separate for $30+, a lightning port splitter another $50+, etc.

Do you get wireless headphones with Samsung then? LG? Nexus? HTC? Motorola? If Apple supply a lightning jack equipped pair of headphones then that's equivalent to what they and every other manufacturer normally do. If people don't want to buy the iPhone 7 due to lack of 3.5mm jack it's their choice.

Why do we need wireless headphones with Samsung? It has a headphone jack. But you know this, right? but you "chose" to just make an idiotic post to start some trouble. If an when Samsun dumps the headphone jack, then yes I want them to provide wireless headphones. They can drop the Gear Circle into everyone's phone box.

Why will you need wireless headphones with the iPhone 7 when they'll be supplied with lightning connector ones in the box? But you know this, right? You just "chose" to try and bash Apple at every opportunity, I don't like them dumping the headphone jack either but I know they'll supply wired headphones so you'll only need Bluetooth ones if you want something different.

"Why will you need wireless headphones with the iPhone 7 when they'll be supplied with lightning connector ones in the box?" How do you charge and listen to music simultaneously? How do you even output to your vehicle's auxiliary jack for music and navigation while charging at the same time? Or are you too naive to think about those use cases?

As TechieXP1969 asked, why do you need those supplied with it when it has both a charging port and separate audio jack? Besides, Samsung already supplies all of the following in the box while apple just charges the same price for nothing, that's what makes their device a ripoff: - Top displays available on the market - Great screen to body ratio - Innovative camera features like DualPixel sensors that earn it top performance ( https://goo.gl/BeL0aY ), especially in terms of autofocus speed and low-light. - Added versatility like support for being used under water - A feature-packed Android skin that performs smooth - Great battery life compared to the competition ( https://goo.gl/JKTUHW ) - Easily expandable storage - A whole bunch of gifts worth over $500 to further justify the price tag ( http://goo.gl/uXU6wl | http://goo.gl/PEH5h3 ) - Base model coming with 64 GB storage - Active digitizer pen to make serious use of its bigger screen, now also works under water and can write to its always on display, making it a very versatile digital notepad. - IRIS Scanner as another fast and more secure method for authentication in various scenarios - Gorilla Glass 5 - USB 3.1 Type C port - mDNIe processing chip for playback of HDR videos TLDR: They don't supply anything to be close to equivalent to what every other manufacturer normally does. They just charge the same price or more for nothing.

Apple removed the jack, so yes they should include wireless earphones. But they would just add the price to the phone so buyers would still get screwed.

How come you never replied to anyone's comments in your dramatic, over the top, incredibly whiny and biased article about Samsung firing shots at Apple during their event the other day? Just curious.

No because they will just raise the price. If they don't raise the price, go for it.

Their gonna raise the price anyways. As they did with the iPhone 6 and yet you got nothing. May as well get something. Don't you think? Do you think? Can you think?

The 6 came with headphones -_-. All iPhones come with headphones. Seriously...... WTH are you talking about? I'm starting to question your sanity at this.

What?! Apple should sell it separately & charge $75 to $100 for it.

Oops my bad, it's Apple. Make that $200-$250.

Now that I think about it, why would Apple make wireless earpods as an Apple product when they own Beats. They will just include some lightning earpods and call it a day. If they do make some new wireless headsets, it will be under the beats brand. As for the lightning earpods, remember er that the general public needs to understand that you can use the lightning port for your headphones. This is the perfect way to let them know that.

Wireless earphone that need to charge every hour? No chance. Expect iphone user carrying adapter everywhere.

Not sure how to vote here. On one hand, I'll say yes, but on the other hand, why not just the regular headphones and an adapter?

Well, they can technically do what they want, and not even bundle earphones at all. But if they don't wanna lose tons of sales, they better. And I honestly think they will still lose sales anyway due to this move.

Bundling wireless earphones will increase the price. In my opinion, I think they will have the lightning port earphones in the box, then sell a 3.5mm adapter seperately. We will all know soon enough.

Yes. They should provide the wireless Beats headphones with the earhooks. FREE (included in the price) and jus increase the cost of the phone $50 tops.
