Shiny flagship at a special price: the Elephone S8 just got a discount for a short while

This story is sponsored by Elephone. PhoneArena's opinions in this article have not been affected in any way!

A couple of weeks ago, we spoke about the Elephone S8 — a nearly-bezel-less phone of the "chin only" variety. With a shiny finish, that futuristic design, pretty good hardware, and an already special price, the handset looked like a sweet bargain. Well, now, it's gotten a bit better.

See, the Elephone S8 is about to start shipping on the 26th of September. Until then, however, you are free to pre-order your unit from GearBest (linked below). Up until today, the pre-order price of the handset was $279.99, but has now dropped to $239.99 for a limited time!

What do you get for that money? Well, the S8 sports a 6-inch display with a 1440x2560 pixel resolution, a deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 ticking at 2.5 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, a massive 4,000 mAh battery that supports quick charging, and — of course — a nearly bezel-less design. As for cameras, you've got an 8 MP sensor for selfies, and a 21 MP Sony-made sensor for the main camera on the back, both of which sound quite promising.

We are uncertain how long the promo price will be up for, so if you are drooling over the Elephone S8, maybe it's the right time to grab one. Be sure to check if it's compatible with your carrier's bands and also keep in mind that import taxes may or may not apply.

For the most point, your spot on. I am in the US and just picked up the Ulefone T1 with full LTE bands here. It's not a flagship phone but so far I've been really impressed. I'm not a gamer on my phone tho so it's fits my needs perfectly fine.

Is that really how nice it looks?! The bezel is crazy thin and super specs. Need some real world reviews but seems like a heck of a good deal!

I just gave you a real world review. Elephone's are garbage on both the hardware and software level.

"S8? Where is the s1 s2 s3....?" We all know why it bears that "S8" moniker... don't we?

After the Xiaomi MiMix, all the near bezel less or tri bezel less devices are just mess! But this one seems to have good features, give me your opinion will it be a tough competitor for Xiaomi MiMix??

The hardware is good yet this brand always puts out phones with software nowhere near as good or optimized as the better known brands. Some of the specs like battery life are fluffed and camera not nearly as good either.

I think they will improve the stock android feeling with their newly made ELEOS, I wish they will push this new OS on their S8. It would be great to have the customized OS :D

Ya it doesnt seem to have full support for T-mobile. I think for the most parts, it has voice and messaging working and not LTE or something different. Sucks, would've been a nice phone to get
