Samsung tempts iPhone users with a 30-day Galaxy Note5 or S6 edge test drive (US only)
Samsung today announced what it's calling the "Ultimate Test Drive" - a promotion aimed at iPhone users in the US. The company is allowing US residents 18 years or older who "use an iPhone (with an active wireless data account) as primary phone / communications device" to test drive three of its latest Galaxy handsets for one month.

If you qualify for the promotion, you just have to visit on your iPhone, chose between the Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, or Galaxy S6 edge, fill in your details, and wait for Samsung to send you the chosen device, which includes an activated SIM card. You'll be able to test the handset "on your current carrier for 30 days with no obligation for just $1." After that, if you don't like the Galaxy that you've chosen, you'll send it back and continue your life as an iPhone users. If you do like the new handset, Samsung will make it easy for you to make the switch, though for now it's not exactly clear how this would work.

You can check out Samsung's new offer at the first source link below. What do you say, iPhone users, are you willing to try a Galaxy Note5 or S6 edge (either the plus, or the regular variant) for 30 days?

PA , I couldn't find the options of Note 5 or S6 Edge+. It is only a promotion for S6/Edge. Please let me know if I am looking at the wrong spot!

They didn't. They brought a pen housed in the most powerful, functional large smartphone in the world.

Just had my update in the UK to my Samsung s6 edge that uses the new icons, the phone is now supper fast, any part that had any type of lag at all is gone, I.e. When you 1st went to the apps draw when you 1st turned on the phone or changed theme, there was a very small delay, this is now gone, also ram is now 100% fixed, if I go into the ram manger and clear it now I get 1.1gb, very cool, also the battery gone up big time, needs a new review phone arena If you sold this phone due to lags and ram and battery you made a big mistake

Only smal bad thing is they add 3 links icons not installed for word and excel and PowerPoint, I.e. You have to install them, I.e. They not taking. Up space, also they have installed the gear app trying to sell you the gear and how to setup the gear and it's got the new gear watch look when you go in

Also the finger print scanner is 100% faster and now better than Apple, no idea what they changed on this one, now so fast, not one fail login from when I updated, very cool

As I have said- The "premium" sealed tin-can-glass S6Edge and Note 5 are meant for the US market ONLY(other included countries are for a cover). Samsung is hunting for apple-fans. Hard!!!! And this proves it. Ppl in US are well brainwashed that sealed tin-can-glass is premium. And that is the most important. LOL That's why Note 5 was introduced before the Apple's event. That's why EU version of Note 5 will come later.(if the rumors are correct, it will be different than the US version)

Wow, this is a pretty neat promotion. It's too bad that the last time I used my iPhone on a cellular plan was last year.

Great promotion. It sounds like an HTC cocky promotion but unlike HTC, Samsung can actually back it up and then some.

This is actually brilliant. There's prejudice from iPhone users toward Samsung and Android even though they(Apple fans) haven't tried other phones than iPhone. Hopefully this would break barriers.

I know. They both look alike don't they? It's time to do something different then the slab look.

Got my 2 Note 5s today. Moss my S6 Edge already, but miss having my SPEN more. No regrets other than I wanted the Silver one. Only black and white choices. I just don't like black pbones. But the black looks better than white. The white is very plain now. No texture on the white like the small lines like the Note 4 has. Sti) no regrets.

of course. if the devices sell well, you don't need this really costy promotion. there will be tons of used phones, and even the broken ones. if i were to take it, i will use the phone quite "brutally", and at the end of the trial i will just say not interested, and instead buy a brand new one.

Just attempted this "promotion" from my 6 Plus and it says the Note 5 is unavailable. All well it was a good try samsung but if you really want people to switch at least have the device available to try.

bold strategy. what if the phone broke within those 30day? they must pay full price plus damage repair cost? and what if they didnt like the phone? will samsung sell it as secondhand after that? (but i guess theyll data from that phone, do factory reset, and put it inside brand new box)
