Samsung plans on releasing the Android powered SHW-M100S in South Korea
So how else is Samsung going to attack the smartphone market and triple its sales for this year – how about releasing an Android powered handset for their native country? Although Motorola may have seemingly beat out Samsung in announcing the first Android handset to reach South Korea with the Motorola MOTOROI, Samsung is coming out swinging with one of their most impressive Android phones to date. If looking back and thinking that the Samsung Behold II was a feature filled phone, the SHW-M100S puts it to shame with its 3.7” WVGA AMOLED display, 5-megapixel camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Android 2.1, and their home friendly T-DMB mobile TV tuner. They’re rolling the ball and getting this bad boy out of the gates next month for South Korea Telecom. After seeing the rest of the world getting in on Samsung’s Android handsets, they’re just finally rolling one out in their local market.
