Samsung Gear S3, Gear S2 and Gear Fit 2 finally gain iPhone compatibility

Samsung has been working to make its wearable devices compatible with iOS for quite some time, and now it's finally completed the task. As of today, January 7, the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier, Gear S3 Classic, Gear S2, and Gear Fit 2 can be used with iPhones (not older than the iPhone 5) running iOS 9.0 or above.

To pair your iPhone with one of the Samsung wearables mentioned here, you'll first need to download the official Gear S or Gear Fit app - these are available for free via the Apple App Store. Once the proper app is installed and you run it, you'll be guided through all the necessary steps to complete the pairing.

Now that they've gained support for iOS, the Samsung Gear S3, Gear S2 and Gear Fit 2 work with most relevant smartphone models out there, as they've been compatible with Android since the very beginning. Not bad, considering the fact that these wearables run Tizen, right?

Actually The Best device of this BS category. Period!! Well, the lame Apple watch might sold much more, but that's because of the zombies. That buy anything from the magical brand. Once they move to other company, Apple is down. It has happened with Nokia before(and not only). Losing zombies, they are losing the top buyers.

Nothing is forever dude. Especially if the company doesn't move ahead, but just started to count on the brand love. (see Nokia, Sony, ...and so on) BTW Apple is what it it is, not for 20 years, but not more than 7 years(the most profitable Pyramid on Wall Street) and that's only one product: iPhone.

Why do they have to be zombies? Why not be people, who just prefer Apple products. I preferred Apple products, till I felt Samsung was better for me in the phone department, and I'll move from Samsung, if I feel someone else is better.

Sorry if the word 'zombies' bothers you, man. BTW I respect you. And I don't mean you! By the word 'zombies' I don't mean ppl that just use iPhone or other Apple's products. I mean this part of the ppl's population that ALWAYS go blindly for some 'trendy' brand. No matter ...TV's, phones, cars, clothes, shoes...dictators...messiahs...and get fanatic. And there will always be such. See 17

I try android best every 2 years (my upgrade cycle)... is it ok with you that it doesn't suit me? You guys overhype android, so far all devices including the AllMighty Note has been "meh". Being a frequent on tech sites, I know just about anything I need to to make a proper decision - don't you think?

"Losing zombies, they are losing the top buyers." Says the "Note conspiracy" nut job. Blaming international powers for the failure of a damn phone......you need serious psychological treatment for that level of crazy.

Since you own neither watch I'm curious as to how you can be so adamant in your opinion.

Gonna try it with my iPad Pro. See what the Gear will have or not have vs the device running on Samsung's own devices?!

To me a watch is just a fashion accessory, smart watch must look good too. This is good news as I do like the frontier - will be looking out for a full iOS functions article (hint, PA). And if it does half the stuff Apple Watch does - I'll be getting one as soon as a good sale comes along. Apple needs to really get the design gears adjusted (either hire new talent or fix Ive and Cook - those two are broken). Really good news for those iOS users who want a rugged smartwatch design. And Samsung is about to tap into the iOS customer base - where most of the money and profit is at.

Can't reply to texts, can't see attached images in texts, no Samsung Pay. Other than that, it's actually a pretty good implementation.

Too bad Samsung pay isn't along for the ride. Would be nice for Apple users to be able to tap and pay virtually everywhere.

Totally agree. That was probably their fear though, losing people to Samsung Pay. I myself make it a point to bring my S7 with me every time I go shopping, the reward points Samsung offers makes it the obvious choice to use over Apple Pay, which offers zero incentives.

Great, now scumbag Apple owners can now actually use a decent looking watch instead a joke rectangle on their wrists.

We may all not see eye to eye sometimes, but I really don't think anyone on here is scumbags.
