Samsung Galaxy S5 concept takes its design cues from a current flagship
Designer Hasan Kaymak often comes up with concept models for HTC handsets. That seems apparent after taking a look at his concept for the Samsung Galaxy S5. Looking like some relative of the flagship HTC One, this Galaxy S5 concept includes an edge-to-edge screen of an undisclosed size, two speakers in front (similar to HTC's BoomSound), a metal casing, curved corners, and a reversible microUSB port.

The device would include TouchWiz 5 running on top of Android 4.4, and instead of a notifications bar on the lock screen, actionable notifications would pop up under the user's picture. The notifications shade still comes down with a swipe from top to bottom. This concept offers support for voice commands.

The real Samsung Galaxy S5 will surely not look anything like this, although we should see a metal body for the upcoming year's version of the flagship Android device. If you want to see a closer look at Kaymak's concept, check out the slideshow below.

Hello Ladies...., I am not a fanboy of either nokia r samsung... but i would like t say some facts about them as i have seen n using both the mobiles 4 the past 10yrs.... To be frank samsung is the worst mobile ever 1. less lifetime, frequent repairs 2.heats up fast 3.its too slow 4. battery sucks 5.same old n single design which is copied from NOKIA 6. quality too bad NOKIA...But on the other hand, when comes to nokia, 1.It made a huge brand value or it has given 100%trust towards customers by providing 2. No repairs n longer life 3. battery is better than any other company made mobie 4. releases different models in a year than the currently samsung 5.service is too good n cheaper than samsung 6.quality rocks Ladies better dont forget that nokia lost to android and not to samsung ...k without android samsung is nothing...!! So don't blabber about something which u did not experienced nor without knowing the information....

All of the designers for Samsung should be arrested if Galaxy S5 looks like that.

Ugly as fudge. :( Also, I don't see how this would confuse people into thinking it's an HTC One - that phone doesn't have a physical home button nor the speakers look the same. Instead, it's the king of big ass bezels!

i hope it does look like that, they get sued for all they are worth, then we can stop hearing about the highly over rated samsung galaxy line.

Sexy. So freaking sexy. Yeah, it looks like an HTC One running Touchwiz, but oh well. Lets hope the S5 has stereo front facing speakers and a metal body.

Actually, I have the latest Lumia update on my phone. It's really nice but we need something that will destroy ios and Android.

Too much "fanboyism" in this site. I don't know why some people want to give themselves HBP on issues that the companies they are dying for don't even know or care about. The higher the competition among the OEMs the better for us consumers. So sheath ur swords and stop embarrassing yourselves.

Would I be embarrassing myself if I said that Nokia Lumia devices are the best and no other device can compare❔.. What if I said that Lumia devices have been sent from heaven to heal the sick,, like Jesus❔

Hey, if you worshipping your Nokia, is fine, but is just a thing, a thing that came from heaven is Holy. You know nothing about Holy thing did you !?

You might want to sharpen your claws then. Some people revere and praise certain brands more than they take care of their own hygiene!

I think the design is kind of cool. Samsung needs to start putting front facing speakers on their phones. It makes perfect sense. I love my note 3 but watching videos suck on it due to not being able to hear anything. Anyway it does look to much like the HTC but it's just a concept and no need to get upset over it.

Failure! The phone made up of dozens of small metal and plastic pieces, which doesn't look solid and smooth. I think the same of the HTC One.

first thing we know it would look like this but still no one wants edge to edge screen no use your hands and fingers would be touching it all the time messing it up also iit would break anytime it hits the ground unless sapphire. samsung you need quad speakers one in each corner for surround sound.

I wouldn't say that Samsung doesn't have the technology.. Samsung makes great devices,, its just their design that's lacking.

No, Please NO. The ui may be beautiful, but the concept looks hideous with the kind of speakers put up front. While I agree, a more stock android ui, with some touchwiz features will be good and minimalist design is appriciated. The speakers should be like placed at the bottom besides the usb jack or maybe like the stereo speakers of X7(That was some awesome design). If samsung goes with a ui like this, and a good body design, i will be in again to buy their device; otherwise, sony designs FTW
