Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to come with an Ultrasonic Cover accessory
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing phone launches for 2014, but it would appear that Samsung has more than just awesome hardware in mind for its next phablet. According to a SamMobile source, the company is also working on a novel accessory for the Note 4 -- an Ultrasonic Cover.
You read that right -- if true, Samsung will likely launch the accessory alongside the Note 4. The idea behind it is to help people with visual impairments better navigate themselves around.
Apparently, the cover will have a sensor embedded within it, capable of detecting objects in front of it (and the person), and provide feedback. We're told that the sensor's range will also be adjustable -- you can choose between short, medium, and long -- but the longer the range, the narrower will be the area covered (and thus, detected). For those of you that are still curious to find out more about the accessory, the insider also leaked the "exact description" of the accessory from a Note 4 prototype.
