Samsung Galaxy Nexus officially on sale in UK
As of 8 AM this morning GMT, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus officially went on sale in the UK through Phones4U, but will come to other major carriers in the next few days according to Google.
Google sent out a tweet this morning from the official Google Nexus account, and that was really the only announcement Google made. The tweet read simply, "Galaxy Nexus is landing in the UK! 8am at Phones4U, or over the coming days from O2, Three, or Vodafone." And, sure enough that's exactly what happened, aside from a small mishap with the very first customer.
And, if the Phones4U page is any indication, the Google Nexus is priced to move at just £59.00 (~$93) on a 2-year contract. That is far less than the reported $299 on-contract price that US customers may have to pay at Verizon.
