Those Canadians who expected to have Android 4.1.2 and multiwindows on their Samsung GALAXY Note II by now, were probably basing their expectations on Samsung Canada's statement back on January 14th that the update would be available the following week. Of course, Samsung covered its back by adding that the exact date of availability was up to each individual carrier.

We wonder how many pissed off Canadians called their mobile operator around January 21st to complain that they hadn't received the update. The carriers offering the device up north include Rogers, Bell, Telus and SaskTel. But this time it wasn't the carrier's fault. Samsung Canada subsequently responded to an inquiry by sending out an email stating that the update was delayed a few weeks and is now scheduled for early February.
So let this be a lesson, for those who constantly complain that there carrier is too slow pushing out updates because they have an OCD-like tendency to over test each update before pushing it out, that sometimes it is not their fault.
