Rugged iPhone 5 cases announced by Lunatik
If left unprotected, smartphones get scratched or broken sooner or later, and the iPhone 5 is no exception. Nevertheless, people carry on using them, yet that's another story. Good thing there's a huge selection of iPhone 5 cases meant to protect the device from drops and scuffs, and a company called Lunatik just added a few more to the list.

The toughest iPhone 5 case among them is the Taktik Extreme, available in either black or white for $124.95. It protects the smartphone against impact and occasional drops, but also prevents dust and water from getting under its hood. Naturally, the screen of the iPhone is covered as well by a layer of Gorilla Glass.

The Seismik iPhone 5 case is less rugged, yet can also protect from some serious damage. When in place, the accessory protects the sides of the smartphone with a thick barrier of patent-pending Impact Truss material, which dissipates impact energy thanks to its construction. Lunatik is offering the case in 5 different colors, priced at $34.95.

Last but not least, the Flak model is a lightweight iPhone 5 case with a hard polycarbonate external shell. The inside layer, however, is made out of soft materials that won't scratch the handset's aluminum back. You can have one for $34.95.

Unfortunately, the Lunatik iPhone 5 cases are not ready for shipping yet, but those who pre-order one today should have it shipped within 2 to 4 weeks.
