Results: do you have and use a smartwatch?

Smartwatches had a rough start — they were first underpowered and awkward, then they were considered geeky, and, after a considerable marketing push and design improvement, managed to make it to the lifestyle accessory category. And while they are nice to have, they still can't find their exact usability, the feature that would make them a must-buy item.

Some users find them expensive, others can't see the need for them, and there are those that bought one but gave up on using it a couple of months in. Yeah, of course, there's also the group of users that enjoy their smartwatches and keep using and upgrading them.

In fact, we thought we'd run a poll on the matter. And look at that, it turns out that smartwatches are actually used more consistently nowadays!

Do you have a smartwatch? Do you use it regularly?

I have one and it's on my wrist almost daily
I have one and it's... in some drawer or something
Would like to buy one
Not interested in smartwatches

I put my stuff on chargers when I go to bed, so I don't worry too much about having to have a week+ battery life. I bought a Huawei Watch 2. With the screen always on (I hate the black screen thing), I go through the whole day and have about 50% when I go to bed. If I run out of battery, it automatically kicks in watch mode, which will still make the watch operational for a few more days - you just have to hit a button to show the time. Its a really nice watch and you can't beat the convenience of using android pay from it.

I have a Gear S3. It's a decent device. I preferred my Pebble Time Steel when it came to functionality, but the Gear S3 definitely looks a lot nicer.

I find that people actually wear Apple Watches, but aside from that, I don't see many others that much.

The question must be: Do you have an Apple Watch? The others are not smartwatches.

I'm using a Gear S2 Classic. Had a Moto 360 previously, and while the Samsung is a lot better, I'm still not sold on the idea of smartwatches

I wear my Apple Watch Series 2 every day. I've seen 1 person wearing an Android Wear watch but Apple Watches are everywhere these days.

In term of monitoring fitness, FitBit/Garmin fitness wear is still much more accurate. Currently also testing out FitBit Charge 2 too!

I think this poll is broken, people barley like smartwatches, they will phase out like tablets soon.

While it's true that not everyone find smart watch useful. There are people that buy many of them like the way some would buy shoes or tie. I have quite a number of them. I am replying to your post with my Motorola Xoom bought 6 years ago. One of my four tablets. I am just trying to tell you that in a gadget forum, geek gather and the poll is correct.

It's definitely statistically flawed due to the small sample size, the concentration of like minded people (lacks random sampling), etc. There's a lot of things that you could point out that would make this poll flawed, but these polls are more so for fun and shouldn't be used to make generalized statements for the public.

I don't use my Gear S2 everyday, but most days of the week. The rotating bezel remains a cool feature.

As for now, I don't like small accessories that require daily charging.
