Real Racing 3 first huge update brings cloud save, 100 new events and Chevy cars
Real Racing 3 launched with much fanfare a month ago but it also stirred serious controversy with an overly aggressive in-app purchase system. As much as hardcore gamers are annoyed with that (as they should be), the game is definitely well polished in every other aspect and the ghost multiplayer against real opponents and not computers adds just enough adrenaline.

Now, a month after it launched, Real Racing 3 is getting its first huge update. It brings the game to version 1.1.0 and is now available for iPhone and iPad, and coming soon to Android.

The update brings a whopping 100 new events and new vehicles such as the Chevrolet Cobalt SS and the Camaro ZL1 to Real Racing 3.

Most importantly, though, Real Racing 3 finally brings cloud save, a function that was weirdly absent. With it, you can save your progress and continue your game on another device. We are giving you the download links for the game right below, but keep in mind that only the iOS version has the latest update.

Needs Ferrari and Mercedes, and replay function. Then it would be a complete game

We need to get rid of the damn "Pay to Win" policy typical of EA Games. I want to pay the game to play just one time, not every time I use it.

It goes without saying that paying some 50$ just to unlock a pack in this game is beyond disgusting. But the fact remains - you don't have to pay a dime to enjoy it. I haven't, and have 13 cars already, all tracks unlocked long ago

We need to get rid of the "whiners that suck at video games" policy typical of EA Haters. I've clocked about 20 hours in this game, about half of what the IGN reviewer claimed, and I have progressed farther than they did in 40 hours. No pay to win. Unless you classify purchasing the 1.99 booster as "pay to win". I call it "pay to keep the developer afloat so they dont cancel future development of the game because the game is very good". Yea, the packs are expensive, but if people are willing to buy them so that the rest of us can play with zero or minimal cost, Im okay with it. As far as "pay to win", this game has Time Shifted Multiplayer, so you aren't racing against people in real time, rather you are racing against their ghost times or whatever. If you lose, so what?

I hear you. But still, you just can't take away the bad business philosophy smell from this game. Even though it is obviously a success (being on the top grossing list since the release), I think EA shot itself in the foot with the monetary model here. Imagine if they offered a given pack for 1$ instead of 50 or more. Or the repair times permanent erase for another dollar. You think it wouldn't pay off, for the game of such quality, downloaded more than 10 million times already? It would pay off with a fat profit I say

Yeah. That said, when you are up to 10 cars (like me) the Repair times become a minor annoyance at worse. Also, most people playing games on their smartphones or tablets just get the free games and dont spend any money. Those that are willing to buy, tend to buy a lot. It is smart for companies like EA to enable those people to buy a lot. It may be unscrupulous too, but I would argue those people make that choice to buy it.

Well, I can tell you I basically donated 2$ to this, just to support the game despite of the hideous price tags for IAP's. But no way in hell I will spend any more as long as the prices are like this. Had they offered packs for a buck at most, I'm sure I'd spend 5$ on this, if not more. That's the point. Really a missed opportunity for EA
