Poll results: many people ride the nopetrain away from the Pixels

Google has announced its Pixel and Pixel XL a couple of days ago and we finally know about all of their features. The launcher, the Assistant, the infinite storage for full-size photos and videos, Google's new Daydream VR platform, and the cutting-edge hardware, of course.

So, how was the Pixel received? Well, we'd have to say that initial fan reactions are a bit mixed. So we thought we'd ask you — are you buying a Google Pixel or Pixel XL? Here's how the voters answered:

Are you buying a Pixel phone?

I think not most, but a significant number of those who said "NO" already have a 2016 flagship in their hands, S7/iP7/10/OP3 etc.

I agree, although I believe about half who said no has an Apple device and about the other half has a Samsung.

Kind of a stupid poll if u ask me there is no waste answer like no I'm a iPhone user or just bought a phone so every person who has a iPhone or a phone from late 2015 -2016 would say no like I did! I'm not buying because I have a 6p if they release a pixel 2 next year hell yeah imma get 1.

its a stupid poll. I got my s7 edge with the free vr/sd card promo. I went with the sd card and the water resistance is a nice touch. im sure the pixel will be a sweet phone but ive already made my purchase.

Not me... using a Note 3 and wanted so badly to like this phone, but it is just missing to many features for that price.

They may not post the results because currently 56% say yes, the Google Pixel can take the Apple iPhone , compared to the 44% that say no, the Apple iPhone can't be taken by the Google Pixel. +1

I like the Pixels especially the XL. , screen size, design, camera, Ui, battery except the 2k resolution. I wish it is FHD

I am a google fan for real, but the price point for those pixels is way too high. I waited in vain. Going straight for an OP3 half than the sticker shock pixels. Best alternative phone on the market.

Yeah when it comes to Nexus alternatives I think OnePlus is the next best thing. I'm lovin my Axon 7 tho.

I've just read that it has only IP53 protection. For its price this is very poor.

You can tell why Apple is so powerful now. Apple fans forgive all of the crap Apple does and Android fans dont forgive anything. No one wonder Google is going after that market demographic now instead. I would too!

Well said man. I'm totally pissed that Google's latest and greatest looks just like an iPhone. Both have gay sounding names and neither support wireless charging...plus both of them look like rejects from 3 years ago. I'm not dumping Google's platform since it is still the best in my opinion, but their phones better impress next year if Google wants my money.

Agreed! Also dislike the fact that it packs a lot less hardware than the Note 7, smaller display/battery and no MicroSD expansion/Active digitzer/Iris scanner/water resistance/wireless charging/etc, all of that, while still being bigger in every dimension compared to the Note 7. Basically, it's just an iphone with a big G ( https://goo.gl/CspwVw ) slapped on its back...

it will be hard for google to win over galaxy users. may take a few years. once Sammy starts shifting their phone over to tizen, which they will, then you will see hardcore android users giving google their $$. I also predict that google will buy htc and make them their beeyatch company to make all their shiz.

Nope for me too.I dont like the design and pricing. This time Google went one step ahead and also copy iphone pricing too, before that Google completely copy Apples idea of not giving expandable storage(micro sd slot)I loved nexus devices but not these pixel phones.Google forgets that Apple has no competitor as it is powered by IOS.fortunately,we Android guys has so many options if we dont like pixel phones.

Google announced the new ugly phone Pixel. God I just hate the design, no features.

Google announced a phone which frankly say an "iPhone wannabe". I can't believed it just happened from a very respectable huge company. Fire your designer or move over from HTC. There are very good OEM that can produce a very good phone like Samsung and Sony (but please get rid of the biggg bezel)
