OnePlus' upcoming "game changer" device to be a drone?

OnePlus' upcoming
Earlier this month, OnePlus revealed that it would announce a brand new product in April, calling it a "game changer."

The company made it pretty clear that this wouldn't be a smartphone, a tablet, or a smartwatch, but didn't provide further details. However, now it looks like we know what the new device is.

During an AMA (ask me anything) session on Reddit, a OnePlus official today answered to a question regarding the upcoming product, saying that "it's a drone, the DR-1, and we will start selling it next month." Well, the last teaser image that we can see in the slideshow below does seem to show someone holding a drone remote controller. Then again, maybe this statement is just a decoy, and OnePlus will announce something else next month.

It's not clear why OnePlus expects its drone to be a game changer (assuming that the new device is indeed a drone). But the Chinese company already has a product that can be seen as a game changer - the affordable, yet impressively powerful OnePlus One smartphone - so let's wait and see what happens in April. It's worth mentioning that DJI, maker of the Phantom drone (arguably the best-known drone right now) is also a Chinese company.

More vaporware from the OPO hype machine. OPO should rebrand as a hype company, why even make devices when you can make empty promises?

Somehow i got the feeling that from the beginning the reason they will give away the 5 phone if the update will delay is because they already know that their update will delay from the beginning.

Exactly, they basically turned bad news in hype good news at the cost of maybe $1000 for them.

There are a couple of sayings. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me And story about wolf and sheeps. But as i said the next shady and disgusting strategy is any news are good then no news at all even bad news. The best thing to do is to ignore them all the way. No comments at all beause they know that they cant pull that stunt again as first time so now its time for second phase which is bad news, bad comments etc. People, just ignore them!!!
