Nokia Music brings free music streaming to Lumia Windows Phone devices in the U.S.
Back in the day, Nokia had Ovi Music Unlimited, a music streaming service that was supposed to help sell music-centric Symbian devices like crazy. It never worked that way for Nokia and the service has quietly faded, but now with Windows Phone, Nokia hopes the same strategy will work and it brings Nokia Music to the United States.

With 150 playlists and tracks from artists like Lady GaGa and Rihanna, and most importantly being completely free, Nokia Music for the US might turn out to be a nice little touch adding value to Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices.

Users can create their own playlist and use ‘gigfinder’ to search for live events.

“The USA is the most vibrant and competitive digital music market in the world – by a wide margin. We have worked extra hard to ensure our service meets the expectations of the demanding, active and inspired music fans in the USA. I would like to challenge everyone to try Nokia Music and see just how easy and enjoyable the service is to use,” says Jyrki Rosenberg, VP of Entertainment at Nokia.

The Nokia Music app is also available now for free for Lumia 900 and Lumia 710 owners and can be downloaded on the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Lol, wow you guys are really slow, i have had nokia music for months now, although i live in Croatia (europe) and all nokia music is for me is a nother player for my own music, no other features are enabled here. Nokia being a finnish (european) company is doing a horrible job at providing services over here...

I don't see it anywhere on my Lumia 900 here in the States. Am I missing something? It's not in the regular marketplace...it's not in the Nokia Marketplace.....has anyone in the States found and downloaded this app yet?
