No Value Pack update for Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab is to be released
Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab owners, we have some pretty sad news for you today. Remember when we said that Samsung may be working on a “Value Pack” update for the two devices in order to make up for the lack of a full-fledged ICS update? Well, we have to disappoint you, but according to a report by the guys at TheNextWeb, no such software is to be released. And this is not a rumor that we are dealing with here as word comes straight from a Samsung spokesperson.

The company representative stated that the “hardware specifications of the older Galaxy devices” are what prevents them from delivering the said update, which means that the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S will be stuck with Gingerbread until the end of time. Perhaps, some of you who are holding on to any of the two will resort to flashing a custom ROM on it in order to have a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich, but for the average consumer, the only way to experience ICS would be upgrading to a newer device.

If anyone is feeling like extinguishing their anger right now, dropping a comment below might help.
