New Sony Xperia Z4 renders leak out, all sides visible

New Sony Xperia Z4 renders leak out, all sides visible
Earlier today, we reported about a press render that allegedly showed the unannounced Sony Xperia Z4 (more exactly, just a part of it). Now, four more renders have appeared, this time allowing us to see the Z4 in all its glory. To be clear, Nowhereelse, which published the new images, notes that these are not final, and are currently intended to be used internally by Sony, but they should resemble the final product nevertheless.

Overall, as we already said, the Z4 looks a lot like the Xperia Z3, though some subtle changes are clearly visible - including the larger front-facing speakers which have a slightly different position than on the Z3.

It's said that the Z4 measures 146.3 x 71.9 x 7.2 mm, which means it's almost the same size as the Xperia Z3 (146 x 72 x 7.3 mm). Thus, we're expecting the new handset to sport a 5.2-inch display. It's not clear if Sony will use a 1080 x 1920 pixels, or a 1440 x 2560 pixels panel, but it might go with both variants.

The Xperia Z4 will definitely run Android 5.0 Lollipop, while other features are expected to include Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, a 20.7 MP rear camera with Sony's new IMX230 sensor, and 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. We're pretty sure that Sony will include other novelties as well, but for now that's all we know. The Z4 should be officially announced and launched sometime this summer. Interested?

I am guessing you're into scuba diving? Or you're just a hardcore under shower porn watcher? I honestly don't see the big fuss about waterproof feature that Sony fans keep on bragging about, its not like Sony has been offering this feature since forever. I had on my S5, and i literally used it couple of time just to show off and then forgot that it was there.

Or maybe he just wants a phone that he can use in the rain and not worry.. If the S6 was waterproof and the Z4 wasn't we wouldn't hear the end of you.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Water Test HD:https://youtu.be/F8r0eWzVZiA All smartphones these days are water resistant, which means you can use it under rain and it will survive if it is accidentally dropped in water.

I'd rather have a certified waterproof and dustproof device than a device in which it's believed to be. If they really were, why didn't they certify it to at least IPX7?

"Or maybe he just wants a phone that he can use in the rain and not worry" wasn't this the reason you defended the inclusion of the waterproof feature? Now that you're excuse is debunked, you're looking for another lame one? I feel sorry for your irrational stubbornness, and i feel sorry for those fool thumbing you up while hiding behind the curtains(no pun intended) even when you post such an ignorant replies.

Remember how I wrote "Or maybe" in the beginning? It was to include this possibility, but not limited it too.

That isn't true. The video you shows the phone gets some water on the glass and the back he is holding it in a way so that it will slide off. He also says that usually speaker and charging problems occur. Drop you note 4 in water and it will die in 90% of the cases at least.

I assumed that you're as lazy as your fellow Sony fans so i googled this for you. Hope you enjoy checking these thousands of reults. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en-US&ie=UTF-8&source=android-browser&q=sony+Z1+waterproof+damage#hl=en-US&q=sony+Z+water+fail

Wow, a couple cases of device defects from millions. You really put a good case here. EVERY manufacturer will make a bad batch. That's been the case with every iPhone, Galaxy, etc. Done yet?

So? You get warranty on the z series just make sure to close the flaps right. I wash my phone every day no worries. I just make sure the flaps are closed. You do know allot of people try to complain for things that could be their own fault right? Im not saying that every problem with the waterproofing is a lie but allot are. Sony takes the phones in and test the waterproofing. If the flaps are faulty or it comes in another way you'll get a new one. If not you probably didn't close the flaps correct

That's the point. You forgot it was there. So if you were using your phone on the way to your car in the middle of a downpour (like finding it while leaving a game or concert, or meeting up with people) then you didn't have to worry about ruining it. That's the entire point. It's more "peace of mind" than a usable "feature" you realize exists. But hey, ruin that brand new S6. I'll keep my S5 or pick up some other brand device that has waterproofing.

It depends on your lifestyle actually. If you are a person who does a lot of outdoor activities like hiking, fishing and mountian biking. Where the dangers of getting it wet from sudden rain fall (water can seep everywhere) or lots of dust around on the dry days. The other benifets are being able to wash the phone in the sink after getting it dirty especially after fishing with fishy hands. So the dust and water proof feature isn't just limited to showing of to friends while pretending to be cool sun tanning and your friends probably don't really care anyway. Because if you have nothing else to talk to your friends about other than your phone than maybe you should get a hobby that gets you out more and maybe fitter and healthier and maybe find better friends suited to who you don't have to show off to and you can be yourself.

You can wash your phone for hygienic reasons. But indeed, waterproofing is not the unit selling point. Active noise cancellation is. And there are only Sony handsets with it. I can never go back to any other brand, just because of being able to listen to my music uninterrupted outdoors. And that's a biggie.

Asus, Sammy and HTC already showed their cards. Let's wait for LG and Sony's announcements before giving that title to anyone, shall we?

At this time I begin to realize that Sony does 1 year flagship cycle after all... well kind off.. This one look basically like Z3.. Why? so that Z3 owners don't feel cheated.. and then again, new buyers get newest specs form Z4.. and, if they want to go budget, well they'll go (they still can) for Z3 or even Z2...Why not, those aren't bad phones... So, it is about constant improvement, not about changing the game radically... btw. S6 is a flagrant iPhone 6 ripoff and another example what Samsung do when they run out of inspiration (and when Apple puts out something..well new...different at least..)

Did I hurt your feelings? Am I not allowed to troll on Sony articles when Sony fans are known best for trolling Samsung articles? Don't get mad just because i stated a fact, every phone running SD810 will suffer badly this year, and your only hope for the Z4 to do good is by Sony ditching SD810 and going for the mighty exynos, or give you last yeats SOC and over charge you(like they always do).

Maherk is the new Papasmurf. Just deal with it. The infection is getting worse, and we're glad to see that Papasmurf is getting better and no longer have the infection. Now for Maherk, it depends on how healthy he is.
