New Google Now card will show recipe recommendations

Just in case you weren't already impressed with the amount of information that Google Now serves up to you on a constant basis, and just in case you weren't impressed with the widget and other goodies that were listed in the update that came a few days ago, there is another new card in Google Now that wasn't documented. Google Now has also gotten the ability to show recipe recommendations based on recent searches.

So, in case you are keeping score, this means that Google Now will serve up information on: weather, sports (college and pros), traffic, appointments, movies, public transit, flights, places, public alerts, stocks, news, popular photo spots, events, birthdays, activity summaries, real estate, package tracking, hotels, boarding/movie tickets, currency exchange, translation, and research topics (which now includes recipes).

It's getting harder and harder to think of an app that comes close to matching what Google Now offers.

I'm trying Google Now for the second time. I'm disappointed in what it provides so far. It is a crappier weather app than The Weather Network. It's a crappier sport score app than ScoreMobile. It's pretty much a crappier version of everything else I have on my phone, only rolled up into one. I'm still going to try it out for a week or so. I think the widget has potential. I'm just trying to find a way to make it somewhat useful to be worth taking up space on my home screen. This recipe thing is something I will definitely not use. Right now the only thing that I find it useful so far is the appointment card and the traffic card. I've trimmed the widget to only one row for now as all the useful info it provides only needs 1 row most of the time and seldom more than that.

Few all in one apps, hardware are better than a single one. For this to be all in one....I think its doing a good job. I dont think its meant to be as in depth as a single app. I think the weather card I have Beautiful Widgets. But I didnt expect it to be better than BW.
