It was only 2 days ago when Motorola held a special event to announce two brand-new smartphones – the DROID Turbo 2 and DROID MAXX 2. Well, not entirely brand-new, as the MAXX 2 is just a renamed version of the Moto X Play, which has been available in Europe and Canada for a while. The Turbo 2, however, is a smartphone that hasn't graced any part of the world yet – a true Verizon US exclusive.

And you may be a bit jealous, as it's a pretty good phone. With a 5.4” 1440x2560 screen, a Snapdragon 810, 3 GB of RAM, and a 3,760 mAh battery, quick charging, and wireless charging the Turbo 2 looks like a power user's dream. Fret not, however – you may still be able to get this handset rather soon.

The DROID Turbo 2 will be rebranded and launched outside the US as the Moto X Force – this becomes clear from a video that was uploaded to Motorola Mobility's YouTube channel today. The description, as well as the video, is short and to the point – “Coming to Latin America, EMEA and APAC starting in November".

What about USA users? Well, it's safe to assume that getting a Turbo 2 that is not locked to Verizon isn't going to be possible any time soon. Best one could do is wait until the Moto X Force hits Canada, check if it supports your carrier's bands, and import.
