Motorola DROID 2 is already getting the Amazon treatment - priced at $99.99
Some could've seen the Motorola DROID 2's last minute outing for its official release to dampen things for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 – especially when the two shared the same release date. Although the Torch received a nice price chopping in half courtesy of Amazon, it was hopeful in driving sales for the less than impressive handset. On the other hand, the DROID 2 wasn't going to sit idly at its customary $199.99 on-contract pricing, so Amazon basically placed the Android powered smartphone in the same playing field as the Torch. Now priced evenly at $99.99, it makes for one attractive offer that no one can't resist – even more when it packs some strong internals that's combined with a tasty dessert. The Torch might've had the jump start in getting its price cut in half, but if the old saying of DROID DOES has any indication, it wasn't going to take too long before the latest DROID device was going to match its competitors.
