More than 800,000 Galaxy Note 8 units pre-ordered in South Korea

Last but not least, the premium phablet is achieving this despite its hefty price tag of above 1 million won ($960), which is considered a psychological barrier in the Korean market, much like the $1,000 mark in the USA.
According to Samsung, the base 64GB version currently accounts for 65% of the sales, while the more expensive 256GB edition holds 35%. The most popular color option is Midnight Black, followed by Deepsea Blue.
The Galaxy Note 8 will officially hit the shelves on September 21st in the East Asian country, almost a week later than its North American release.
