Mobile carriers reportedly in love with the Galaxy S6 Edge, claim it has better design than the iPhone 6

Ah, the extensively-leaked Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge! It's been a while since a Samsung device has spurred so much interest and got so extensively leaked for quite a long time. "Project Zero" can potentially turn out to be "Project Hero" for the prolific, yet struggling-to keep-its-throne smartphone maker, but only if consumers favor the device more highly than its so-so predecessor, the Galaxy S5.

Call it an intended leak or hype-buildup, but a recent report that just popped up in South Korea claims that several major carriers - T-Mobile, Sprint, Vodafone, and local SK Telecom - have reportedly fallen in love with Samsung's next flagship and especially its Galaxy S6 Edge cousin, which is coming with a wrap-around display. Reportedly, representatives of said carriers were quite impressed by its design, claiming that it's better than the Apple iPhone 6 in terms of design.

However, carriers' reported acclaim of the phone won't directly and automatically lead to more sales. Design is one side of the coin; the other is a mixture of overall added functionality and optimization.

The Galaxy S6, on the other hand, will be the driving force of Samsung's desired comeback, as the manufacturer is reportedly expecting it to outsell the Galaxy S5, claims Noh Keun-chang with HMC Investment & Securities, a South Korea analyst firm.

Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are to be unveiled in six days' time, on March 1.
