Mobile carriers reportedly in love with the Galaxy S6 Edge, claim it has better design than the iPhone 6

Ah, the extensively-leaked Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge! It's been a while since a Samsung device has spurred so much interest and got so extensively leaked for quite a long time. "Project Zero" can potentially turn out to be "Project Hero" for the prolific, yet struggling-to keep-its-throne smartphone maker, but only if consumers favor the device more highly than its so-so predecessor, the Galaxy S5.

Call it an intended leak or hype-buildup, but a recent report that just popped up in South Korea claims that several major carriers - T-Mobile, Sprint, Vodafone, and local SK Telecom - have reportedly fallen in love with Samsung's next flagship and especially its Galaxy S6 Edge cousin, which is coming with a wrap-around display. Reportedly, representatives of said carriers were quite impressed by its design, claiming that it's better than the Apple iPhone 6 in terms of design.

However, carriers' reported acclaim of the phone won't directly and automatically lead to more sales. Design is one side of the coin; the other is a mixture of overall added functionality and optimization.

The Galaxy S6, on the other hand, will be the driving force of Samsung's desired comeback, as the manufacturer is reportedly expecting it to outsell the Galaxy S5, claims Noh Keun-chang with HMC Investment & Securities, a South Korea analyst firm.

Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are to be unveiled in six days' time, on March 1.

They only copied Apple once with the original Galaxy S. None of the other S or even NOte models look anyting like an iPhone. You have to be a blind, ignorant, stupid, Samsung hating piece of dog poop to even think any Galaxy device looks like an iPhone. Not talking about you specifically, its a general "you" as in basically all the dumb iFans who sided with Apple. Yet their are phones that look 99.9% like an Phone, but you never hear them talk about those.

Agreed nobody mentioning apple cuz their start following samsung trend, i remember back then Jobs said phablet won't be able to compete against smartphone nor a tablet. For any apple fans, remember when whose quote is this "good artist copy, great artist steal". Applying each best features from every company this is what i've seen from galaxy S6 (leaks), and i'm happy cuz samsung did their homework...

Samsung sure as hell didn't copy Apple on screen & resolution thank God! Idk how people say they copy Apple when the Galaxy phones are so much more advanced?

I know, because they are stupid and ignorant. As a fan you have to support your side, even if your side is a lying, hating douche-bag company like Apple.

If its better then it isn't a copy. Right? After all if it was just a copy, a copy can't be better than an original...right? Also, none of the Galaxy devices with the exception of the original S, look anything like an iPhone. Apple was simply pissed their biggest partner decide to compete against them with smartphones. Just like they tried to sue Microsoft too.

Putting a screen protector is going to be hard. Same goes for developing cases. It's a nice phone, but I don't feel like paying 100eur more for such a acreen. Lol, pa with their fake renders again.

That choise is up to you ;-) I don't mind paying extra for the unique features! And I'm sure Spigen will have a easy fitting screen protector for the S6Edge.

I'm sorry , but why hide nice looks with ugly protection? Then we could just buy an iPhone.

I agree, I have seen so many badly applied screen protectors and fugly cheap cases that look far worse than a scratched screen ever would. I never apply one as I take good care of my phones and use a good oem case and can fully appreciate the screen as the manufacturer intended.

Lol These fake renders will surely look better than the real S6.

You are wrong about both. It funny, Samsung made a case for the Note Edge with no problem. There are cases and screen protectors too. Its not hard, it just requires a unique design, not just some cheap case that anyone can make. How about you wait to see the phone before passing judgment.

No one is making you pay it either. Are they? I mean, Samsung isn't putting a gun to your head...right?

Maybe something like the Invisishield Glass which I currently use on my Note 4 can be made to curve around the sides of the Edge phones.

So, does this mean that it looks similar to the iPhone 6? If not, they won't say that. But I don't really give a damn about who copy from whom, I just want a good phone.

Those renders look like the lovechild of Sony Xperia and Apple iPhone.. but its indeed nice. Here's hoping that the actual product is better. :)

You mean like the iPhone? Did you say the same about it? The original iPhone, the 3G and 3GS look 100% identical. That and ll 3 used the exact same hardware all 3 years. All they did was bump up the speed and sold it as new. The iPhone 4 and 4S were also 100% identical with the same hardware, against with sped bumps. The 5 and 5S were also identical as well as the 5C. They took the hardware of the 5 and drop it into a plastic casing that was worse than the 3 series. Again, be honest; did you say the same then. Yes, many of the Galaxy devices have that same familiar look, but they are not identical, like the iPhone. But if you're gonna speak ill, do it fairly and say it for both. Picking on one makes you a biased ignorant hypocrite and that goes equally the same for the retards that like your post.

they try to do it for every phone/tablet/bit of news that they can. OBviously they can't put out articles every day about mom and pop shop stuff because there isn't enough happening in the small players world for them to do it. come the fall the whole site will be about Apple. Just calm down

A website dedicated to mobile technology is reporting on the largest phone maker on earth? Gasp! Unthinkable! Apple and Samsung are given the most attention, because they are the worlds largest and most profitable phone companies. That's all there is to it, I don't know why everyone acts like it's a mystery as to why the two giants get so much more attention than everyone else. That'd be the equivalent of going to a sneakerhead site and raging about Nike, Reebok, and Adidas articles being everywhere. Yes, there are many mobile companies in the world who are certainly putting out products and ideas worthy of note, and it would be nice to see them get more shine. But the largest ones are always going to get the most attention and headline the most articles. At the end of the day phoneArena needs people to click through its articles in order to get eyes on their advertisements and bring in revenue. Apple and Samsung are the most widely known and most recognizable phone manufacturers, so what reason would they have to not get out as many relevant articles about the two as they could? From a tech lovers standpoint I can understand why that would be disappointing and irritating. But as a business practice? It makes a hell of a lot of sense.

It's not disappointing or irritating at all. Actually it's fun because I get a laugh sometimes from one of these silly articles with people comments. Lol
