Microsoft compares Cortana to Siri in short video

In an extremely short video that it has just posted, Microsoft is comparing its newly-announced digital assistant, Cortana, to Apple's Siri. At first, Microsoft says that Cortana differs from Siri in a "number of ways," but then the video proceeds by just saying that Cortana can create "people-based reminders, so that's something that Siri can't do." From there, the video concludes with the sweet statement that "Windows Phone is all about keeping the people that matter most close to you." Beautiful, isn't it?

What do you think, who's going to win the cat-fight?

The problem is and always will be the direct comparison to Apple. Android (as a result of Verizon) had the most difficult time taking off because Verizon constantly compared it to the iPhone and iOS. People, in turn, would call any early Android device a wanna-be iPhone. Same thing happened with the iPad and will happen with Cortana. These tech companies have to stop comparing their products directly with Apple because no matter how good it is, people will still call it a knock off.

if somebody asks me which is a software company between these two?microsoft or google i would still surely say microsoft. i think google just made android for generating ad revenues not just to create an mobile os as similar to the ambitions that the desktop version of windows had(every table should have a pc)..eventhough i'm an android user:)

Fact is you can create people based reminders using SIRI.

Prove it. Every person I know that owns an iPhone with Siri says they cannot do this. Siri WILL NOT pop up a reminder to tell a contact about something when that person calls you. Cortana will.
