Meizu MX5: all the new features


The Meizu MX5 has gone official: it's the next big thing from Chinese phone maker Meizu that has grown tremendously in the past few years making phone of great quality and much lower prices than mainstream companies like Samsung and Apple.

The new MX5 is a 5.5-inch 1080p phone that runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Meizu's custom FlyMe user interface on top, and it feature a sturdy, precisely machined slim metal body. It's not just about the good looks, though: under the hood, there is the new MediaTek Helio X10 system chip, and on the back, a 20-megapixel camera is responsible for the photographic part of the handset.

I can't wait to see the Pro version of this phone. Hopefully, Meizu will use a Exynos processor like they did with the MX4 Pro.

No dedicated audio chip and lack of Type C are really disappointing. I wouldn't buy this phone anyway because of too large screen, but it would be nice to have those. And it's funny that "unrealistic colors" are listed in "new features" :D

You must realise this is more true for iPhones than it is for Android phones... don't you?

Exactly, and least true for Android. Symbians were almost same with ONLY major diff in Icons. (See 6600/6630/6260/N70) etc. Blackberrys are same. iPhones are same. but but but... My S4(5.0.1) has no resemblance with my MX4(4.4.4) which in turn has no resemblance with my Mi4(4.4.4) and all of 'em has no resemblance with stock a.k.a Nexus OSes. Now if you #NexusX bro will say having an app drawer makes them same, I see no diff between N95 and Galaxy S6. :D :D :D

before iphone 6 came mx4 had similar design pattern for a while now i guess,i suppose iphone has copied,do cross check though.
