LG to hold a "Share the genius" event on May 1

LG has sent out invites for a press conference it will hold on May 1st in New York City, and teased the event with the mysterious headline “Share the genius.” The invitation features the picture of a microphone and a sub-heading just below it urges us to “capture the spotlight in true brilliance.”

What does this mean? We can only guess, but looking at LG’s lineup we do expect one of its best recent handsets, the LG Optimus G Pro, to make its official debut in the United States. A 5.5-inch device with a 1080p display, the G Pro offers a stunning display, and is fairly compact for a phablet.

Of course, it could be anything else, but whatever it is, make sure to check back in around two weeks around these parts of the web where we’ll keep you posted.
