Is this Samsung's Gear S3 smartwatch?
Even though the Galaxy Note 7 is now very much official, Samsung still looks poised to play a role at this week's IFA trade show in Berlin. The South Korean firm has, for example, already revealed that its Gear S3 smartwatch line will be unveiled during the big tech gathering alongside the Galaxy Tab S3. Thanks to a leak, we may have a glimpse at one of up to three potential models.
Shared by the folks at SamMobile, the images seen below depict a Walmart listing for a Gear S3 screen protector. As you can see, the watch has a very traditional look and feel, though it's seemingly doubtful that we're looking at the real deal here. It's more than likely that the watch illustrated is simply a placeholder, so we'll reserve our judgements until something a little more concrete arrives.
It is expected that Samsung will reel off three new smartwatch models in the near future; the Gear S3 Classic, Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Explorer. Apparently, the Frontier and Explorer models will be aimed towards active consumers, while the Gear S3 Classic will be reminiscent of the current Gear S2.
