Huawei Mate 9 leaks in high-resolution photos

Huawei Mate 9 leaks in high-resolution photos
The Huawei Mate 9, which will be officially announced this month, has appeared in high resolution leaked photos showing the final unit with Leica-engineered dual-camera setup.

The leaked photos are consistent with material that's surfaced previously, showcasing a big metal smartphone with a dual-camera setup, accompanied by a dual-LED flash and laser autofocus module.

The handset is rumored to have a 5.9-inch display with 1080p resolution and is to be powered by the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 960 flagship-tier processor, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The Huawei Mate 9 allegedly runs Android 7.0 Nougat skinned with the manufacturer's EMUI 5.0 interface.

Some of the leaked photos are available here, while the rest can be seen by following the source link below.

Its actually good for phones with 2.5D glass It makes it easier for tempered glass screen protectors to cover the whole screen A lot of cheaper tempered glass screen protectors for 2.5D glass phones dont cover the whole screen, or just cover to the edge (which can halo effects)

True... I still have to find a good glass to cover my Oneplus 3's face properly. All the available ones don't cover the sides.

This is living proof that people will find a reason to complain about anything. Black lines around the screen, what a deal breaker!!

It actually is a deal breaker. Its a flagship phone. These black lines are FAT. Take a look at the Mi Note 2 and you can barely see the any lines. I actually think the all the Mate phones are gorgeous minus the borders. Same with the Zen 3 deluxe. Great looking phone but the thick black borders are deal breaker.

Like you will always notice those thin black borders once you're busy with the phone.

Then don't buy it in white. If you bought this phone in black there would be no real way you could tell without looking harder at it. And it's not just Chinese brands that have this problem. Even other major brands like LG has a black border around the display, albeit much smaller but it's still there if you look.

Since Chinesiens are the kings of the fake "almost zero" bezels. When the display is off, the phone looks like almost bezelless.

The dual camera module looks cool. LG needs to do it that way, instead of that ugly eyeballs looking setup where one eye is bigger than the other...!

Meh. Looks nice, but a bit bland. However, I don't mind about the bezels, still ok for me,at least. Next!

Guys, do you guess that Mate 9 will finally be able to do the decent videos? So far no Huawei/Honor phone has been able to produce videos competitive to other big OEMs.
